By God's grace, if we don't get our house sold by May 2009, we're going to try to spend 10 days to 2 weeks vacationing in Missouri, and make time to head down your way.

My wife is a HUGE tea room aficionado and I know we would both love this place. We're just here making the best of things, and we finally got a little bit of light rainfall yesterday afternoon after not having any rain whatsoever since about the middle of last March. The air smelled so good outside! But we'll be so glad to get back to MO at least to visit if not to live just yet. Nothing but foreclosures and short sales as far as the real estate market goes, and our manufactured house is getting skipped.
Aw, shucks, Eric! You do say the sweetest things!

So, it's a date! Sometime in May, we're gettin' together! Whoohoo! I can hardly wait!

I'm glad you finally got a little rain. I know you're gonna need a lot more...and without any lightening strikes, too...
so from my fingers to God's eyes, huh?

As for the sale of your home, I know it's hard to keep the faith but just remember that God is GOD
and don't forget to keep praying for His will because whatever that is, He will do.

Okay, well, we're gonna hold you to it! Hahaha! Okay, I know we can't really do that
so just know that we look forward to it whenever you are able to get here!
I know that holidays and weather will begin to play a role as time passes and we get closer to winter.

Default Apology

I would really like to aplogize to all the members that gathered to meet me in August.
I became ill while I was home. I hope you all can forgive me, it broke my heart not to meet everyone.
I am still on the road to recovery, and will try to be more active here on CD, its just been a rather hard row to hoe.

Question OCTOBER, Two, or Disbandment?

Okay gang....we seem to be losing momentum on the coffee gatherings. We had agreed once a month alternating between "north and south". I know gas and overall cost of living has become an issue for some people. Is it time to disband the attempt to gather once a month?

Or do we have one last big fling in October before winter sets in and rediscuss this via CD before Spring?

Or does there need to be two groups now? One for Springfield/Nixa/Ozark and one for Branson/Hollister/West Branson?

Looking for feedback.

Hey, MrsC!

I am kinda leaning towards doing two groups although I don't know if there is enough interest to keep two going. I have another idea or two to throw out to the group, though...

What do you all think of just doing an evening or weekend gathering once every two or three months like the pizza nights we've had?

Another idea is just to schedule one when we have visitors come in town like when NorthBayEric and his wife come in May. What do you think of that?

MrsC is right. We need some feedback so we can make changes if we need to. I mean, it's a great idea but if it doesn't fit your schedule or is too far, we need to know so we can figure out if we can make the changes needed.

Hmmm... ...thinking!

So, wha'd'ya say, folks?

Well I am going to just jump in here and say I hope you guys don't stop having your gatherings completely. I want to attend but will not be able to until probably February. Maybe once a month may too often but quarterly might work....
