Hey, MrsC! I can hardly wait to see and hug you again! I wish I had some ideas for Springfield in July! Seems like all of you know it better than I do. I did happen to go into a Starbucks on Glenstone a month or so ago. They had a lot of room, it seemed. I'm not particularly a fan of Starbucks so anyplace is good for me. I'm in it for the company!

Darlynn, I didn't quote you post but I hope you know you are one of my favorite people and I'm hopin' we get some time to visit. I'm lookin' forward to a hug and a newsy update on your dh, too!

Hello, all!

I'm so excited about today's gathering! First of all, I want to echo Darlynn's invitation and not limit it to the girls.
Second, I'm excited to tell you that Boof's comin'! Third, I found the directions to The Keeter Center that MrsC gave back in February:

"To get to Keeter Center, go south on 65 (for most of us) and take the Historic Hollister exit to the right. Go straight up the slope and the big log building just to the right across the street is Keeter."

For anyone wishing they had a map and a little more detail, here's a map provided by their website at The Keeter Center :

Howdy Ya'll,

Yah, I know some of you thought I'd fallen off the edge of the earth, but.....ta daaaaaaa!!!!!!! I made it back. As MrsG said, I was able to make it to the Keeter Center yesterday. Boy, what a blast that was! I carpooled with MrsG so we got to visit and catch up on the drive there. And I know I've said it a bazillion times, but the drive to Branson is just absolutely mindblowing. It's sooooo beautiful!!!

The Keeter Center is simply gorgeous! It's a rustic lodge with beautiful appointments. It even has an antiqued brass tin roof. Huh??? I mean, it's a tin ceiling that looks like antiqued brass. Hmmm, I just can get that right, can I? Oh well, you get the jist, right? And as far as the food....it was delicious!! The menu offered a wonderful array of homemade dishes that are sure to please everyone's palate. Hopefully it won't be too long till I go back again.

At the gathering, we had some newbies. It was Zoltani and his wife BarbHarp. What a wonderfully delightful couple!!! Then we has Miss Doris and Cheryl there as guests of Darlynn & Califokie. Very nice ladies that were a pleasure to meet! And did I say Califokie was there? What a kick in the A** she is!!! She's just the neatest lady! (Just don't let her take pictures without her glasses on) hehehehehehe Juuuuuust Kidding, my little Okie!

And of course LJ & MrsC were there brightening up the day. They are the glue that brings us all together....so it just wouldn't be the same without them there!!! And LJ, was kind & generous enough to take some of us for a ride on her boat. What an awesome experience. The music was perfect, and we just enjoyed the calming (call me) atmosphere on the lake. It was a wonderful way to end the day. Thanks LJ.....you really made our day.

Well, I'll post some pix that I got. Hopefully MrsG will be able to do the same when she has a chance, and you can all see what a great time was had by all.

For those that weren't able to attend, we're sorry it didn't work out, and we hope you'll be able to make it next month. We genuinely look forward to meeting new friends and welcoming our new MO Peeps to the area. There's even talk of maybe gathering for Pizza in the evening. I know I'll be there, draggin' my hubby along with me. hehehehehehe

Thanks for the great time you guys.....I'm sooooo glad I was able to go.

Hope to be able to pop in more often and keep up with ya'll. I've missed you something awful!!!
