Default farm houses moved to Branson area from Republic?

yesterday I was talking to my elderly aunt and she told me that her grandparents farmhouse in Republic was moved to Branson or somewhere near there. She said other farmhouses were moved there too. Are there old farmhouses around Branson anywhere that were moved from elsewhere? Does this ring a bell to anyone?

In the town I grew up in they moved all the old turn of the century homes to one area and made a historic part of town. I don't know if it is something like that or not.

Lynn2...I haven't heard of that, but that doesn't mean it's not true. I've only been here for about 4 years.

But I'll sure keep my ear to the ground!
