You can contact the Civil Division of the Greene County Sheriff's Office by phone at 1(417) 829-6268 to inquire about any upcoming sales on their schedule. Most of these sales are handled by private attorneys and only a very small number of sales are processed through the Greene County Sheriff's Office.



1.) Listings in the paper- the house is still in pre-foreclosure.

2.) The actual sale--(auction or sheriff's sale)
3.) If not sold at auction property goes to the lender to handle. They are then called REO Properties.

Be EXTREMLY CAREFUL... What you may see in photos and from the outside isn't always what you are getting. Many times the prior owner is furious and take vengious out on the property. Many times it is after photos have been taken. They will go in a remove ALL cabinets, sinks, lights, enterior doors, rip up carpet, rip up floors and walls.

Is this the type of people in SW Mo? NO,, they are upset at the Mortage companies and the current ecomony and no matter what they have tried to do to they end up losing what they have worked so hard to keep.

Many times if you take a walk thru - you will see the extent of the damage and realize the cost of repairs is much more than you want to spend.
