Unhappy Awwww! No Trader Joe's after all!

He had heard a rumor about a Springfield store and a Kansas City store but said it is 1-2 years before it will happen as they are still getting situated in Missouri. Anyway I just thought I would share that with you and keep posting a request on Trader Joes website, the more the better for all of us Trader Joes lovers.
Awww! I was sooo excited when I read that Trader Joe's was coming here and now, so sad that they're not...yet.

I went to their site ( Welcome to Trader Joe's - Your Neighborhood Grocery Store - Locations ) and asked if there was a location in Springfield within 20 miles, knowing they would say there wasn't. I don't know if this is what you (Gripster2) meant when you said to "keep posting a request" but it is the best I could find. Whenever I find myself missing them, I think I'll come back and do that. Maybe someone will be paying attention and give us what we want! Hahaha!

When we knew we were moving to MO, I actually went to one of my local TJ stores and asked them if they had one in MO. We hadn't figured out where in the state we were going to move and I hoped this might "tip the scales" for us, somehow. Hahaha! At the time, though, they didn't have any ... or maybe just didn't have any in an area I wanted to live. I looked at the list on their site today and have never even HEARD of those places! I'm guessing they are outskirts of either KC or St. Louis. Oh, well...I'm going to keep dreaming!

Default Trader Joes

Go to Trader Joes website, then click contact us, then click email us, and the form has a pull down list that has location request on it and just fill it out. The Trader Joes in Missouri are all in St. Louis my hubby is actually there on buisiness and went to one last night to check it out. Eventually Springfield will get one and when it does the people who don't know what is is will be pleasantly surprised! I was told in the past they only go where places have certain demographics and I believe Springfield is not big enough yet but it is supposed to grow to 1 million from 150,000 now within the next 10 years so we shall see............

I went to the Trader Joes site and voted. As I said in one of my earlier emails, when I move to Springfield I'm really going to miss Trader Joes.

Glad to hear you voted, the more the merrier! Trader Joe's is my favorite store and I will miss it very much! I will definitely make the trip to St. Louis just to get things I really, really want, at least it is within a decent driving distance! I am sure Springfield will get one eventually.

Ummm...do you know that it's about a four hour drive to St. Louis from Springfield? Well, some may make it in less time but when all is said and done, I'm thinkin' it would be an all day round trip and require an ice chest.
