Default I Hated It!

I lived in Springfield most of my life because it was a good place to raise my kids - financially feasible for a single mother. However, once they were out of the house I coudn't get out of there fast enough. There are no single men there in the 30 - 40 year old group! There isn't really the industry there to support the child support plus two households in my opinion. So - - people stay married for various reasons even if they're gay or they hate their spouses. Even though it's a hugely religious place there is a lot of quiet dysfunction and a huge amount of judgement and gossiping in certain groups...

Default California to Springfield?

I would trade places with you in second. Springfield is boring here. No amusement places. Nothing for kids to do except Branson 40 miles south. Too much religion and they are in control of this town. Hate it here. Too bad I was born here. This town has nothing except a giant mall. Very boring!!

Default Reminds me of a story...

The one about the 6 blind men describing an elephant...

How different one town can seem depending on your frame of reference, your experience, and the color of the glasses through which you see the world.
