My wife has accepted a job in the ozark area. (we live up north by truman lake) We are looking for a nice apartment, house or preferably a cottage in a rural area outside of Ozark. She will only be down there 4 days out of the week and back up here on her days off with me and our daughter. Any help would be appreciated and you can email me at kevinthomasgile@aol.com
Thanks!

I will scan a copy of my rental list and email it to you in the morning, it has all of the numbers for Ozark rental agencies. Hope that is helpful.

Default Rentals in Ozark MO

Where is the best place to gather information on rentals available in the Ozark school district? I have been using the Springfield News Leader, various internet sites, etc., but with little luck. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I don't know how much help this will be but it is the best I have to offer. The local newspaper is called the Christian County Headliner. Here's a link to their site:
Ozarks Newsstand - Christian Co Headliner News - Top Stories - CCH

If you click on "Classifieds" in the red bar up top and then click on "Real Estate Rentals", they'll ask you for a date of issue (seems dumb but you can check out the last weekend's issue so I guess it's not so dumb). I clicked the most recent date and saw that there are quite a few options. Maybe some of those numbers are for professional agencies that you can ask for help from.

Hope this helps!

Default My find

I joined Access Rentals but had no luck, I needed a bigger house for 5 of us and 2 labs. There were plenty of smaller homes and alot with no pets. Believe it or not I just rented a house I found on guess where? Craigslist.com. The owner emailed me 12 photos, I had my friends who live there meet him to check it out for me and I will be moving there soon and leaving California. The owner actually is from San Diego and moved there a year ago himself, it was his starter home. What a great story huh? anyway check it out for yourself as I NEVER thought to look on Craigslist and I had luck there. Ozark here we come..............

Seriously?!? That's awesome!

Kareybear, did you hear that?!? Go for it! From what I hear, Craigslist is the place to go for pretty much everything! Who knew that included renting a house, too?!

Thanks for telling us, Gripster! Oh! And congratulations! We'll practically be neighbors soon! Do your best to enjoy the journey!

I heard it and knew about craigslist before I joined the thread. It is good for bigger cities not small ones. Thanks for trying you all. Craigslist is great but not for what I want.
