Dear Nexxie, Your post made perfect sense to me; silly of us to EVEN dream that rural areas may also include some semblance of literate folks, perhaps even one or two who have the ability to end a sentence with something beside spitting chew "juice" into a styrofoam cup! We're heading out as soon as possible. Life is too short to live anywhere that brings your IQ to that of a stone. Best of luck to you.

Good for you and good luck to you. I sincerely hope you find a place more to your liking outside Missouri. I try to discourage people from moving here, but they just won't listen.

Maybe they'll listen to you. I'd appreciate it if you would spread the word from coast to coast that Missouri is NOT a good place for people from California, Florida, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Hawaii, Alaska, Oregon, Washington, Texas, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, or several other states, to settle.

I don't know why you chose Missouri, but now that you've realized you made a mistake and are leaving, go tell everyone far and wide so they don't make the same mistake. Thanks a lot.

Spitooie!

Hmmm,,, now WendyC42 what if some of us hillbillies actually collect rocks?

BTW, what is up with putting that rich nutrient rich liquid into a stryrofoam cup anyhow? Most I know spit that liquid fertilizer right back onto the ground.

I reckon that your average Missouri stone is a is a bit brighter than your average California stone. I think ShadowCaver is on to something...all that nutrient-rich chew juice must be fertilizing the stones in the Show-Me State, making them stronger and smarter . You might want to buy a few pouches of Levi Garret before you leave the state, maybe introducing it to California will fertilize the stones there and bring the IQs of your neighbors up to the levels found in Missouri.

But, to help those interested in seein just how intelligent us backwards folks are: Smartest State 2006-2007

Oh good grief. Every state I've lived in besides Missouri, ranks lower than Missouri! Well, a lot of my family is still in Missouri...........maybe that helps.

Note to self: Visit "back home" more often.

yeah, well that list has the top 5 all in the same northeast region. But I'll buy the notion that Missouri far outranks California education. I'll durn near guarantee it.

I have to tell you Nexxie, something must have lured you to Missouri? I was born there, left with hubby & lived all over and really really tired of smog, traffic, phony people, I for one (2 cause hubby's coming too) are looking to return to southern Missouri where folks are friendly and they say what they mean and you can count on them. Those kinds of friends are few and far apart in the concrete jungle! Good luck to you tho' where ever you hang yer hat friend.....
