Default We finally did it

OK, we finally got the cable installed in the house and the kids are happy as can be. We also got their internet, one of their bundling packages, though just extended basic and internet and no telephone. The people were really nice and the installation guys were thorough. We got all of it yesterday afternoon.

Wonderful!! Nothing makes a new home seem more like HOME to me than having TV and internet working.

Are you in Springfield? If so, would it be too nosy for me to inquire as to how much your cable bill will be? If so, please ignore the question!

You have about the same cable services I have here in New Orleans - - basic cable (though mine is not extended basic), internet, and no telephone.

Sorry, but we are in Nixa and our cable provider is SuddenLink. The internet part is only costing us about $18.00 for the first year and we pay for the extended basic a little over $50.00 I believe. Wife pays all of the bills and gives me an allowance.

How exciting, Junky!

We had Suddenlink and were very happy with their service! The only reason why we aren't still with them is because they sold the service in our area and we can't get it anymore. We had to go with Dish Network and while it's fine, it's less reliable, we pay more and we had to get in a stinkin' 18-month contract!

So, how are ya'll liking Nixa? We do several things in town and are even members of the Chamber of Commerce so I might be able to offer a referral for something sometime. If you're interested, lemme know by DM, k?

By the way, I haven't seen a thread that talks about how the transition is going for you and would love to know if you're in the mood to tell. If you've already done it and I just missed it, would you post a link here?

Thanks!

MrsG

So far, we really like the area. We love our new church. It is the Nixa Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). I have to say that I love reading the News-Leader, especially the Voices section. It really seems that, since we have been here anyway, people are always debating and discussing religion. Lately it seems that people are having fits about gays and such. Come January I plan on getting a hunting and fishing license for myself since I absolutely love to do both. We finally got our Christmas tree and have it all decorated. We are still trying to get situated in the house, you know still many boxes to go through. There is a lady at our church that goes to the Chamber of Commerce for our church. I am not sure of her name, still trying to remember people there. LOLOLOL

Where do you live that you lost SuddenLink service? I hate contracts and hope that we can keep the cable and cable internet without any problems. So far so good is all I can say.

I'm out in the country just east of Ozark. I can't imagine you being in danger of losing of losing Suddenlink where you are. Nixa and Ozark are two of the biggest cities in Christian county, if not theee biggest, and Christian county is growing faster than any county in MO, last I heard.

It's so great that you've already found a church that you love! That took a lot longer for us...as did getting unpacked! That takes much longer than I remembered in the past. So, are you already employed?

I own my own business and do business with other countries. I am very lucky where employment is concerned.
