Default Hi everyone!
I am new and want to introduce myself. I live in Benton County and this was the closest I could find. My dh and I have 43 acres here and I LOVE it!

I have always been a city girl who yearned for country life. I have found that. : This area is where we have looked around for many years, so I was already familiar with the area. We found this place right where we wanted to be.

I am about an hour and a half away from Springfield and about 2 hours from KC. But, this is the uppermost edge of the Ozarks and I figured this was the place to post?

Hi, Creekwalker!

Welcome to the forum! Any of the areas will work. Since you're new, I just wanted to be sure you know that you can choose the main Missouri forum or any of the three local MO forums. Many of us post in more than one. Then again, there's a lot of other great forums within the C-D site...but we think ours is the best!

I had to look up Benton County and now see that you're above Springfield and kind of SW of Jeff City, so yeah, this one would be the most local for introducin' yerself to yer neighbers. Have ya'll lived here long? Do you farm or raise animals on that big piece o' land o' yours? We've got just 2 1/2 acres but it suits us jes' fine! I was a city girl, too, havin' been born in Calee-for-ni-yay but don't want to see myself as a city girl anymore...even if I have only been here just over two years. Haha!

I look forward to gettin' to know you better. Feel free to just jump in anytime!
