Hi! I'm currently living in Alexandria, LA and looking to move to Bolivar, MO. My boyfriend will be attending SBU for the next 2 years. I'm a nurse looking for work in the area and trying to decide if i should look to live in Springfield? Bolivar? or somewhere else nearby. I like Springfield and could definately happily live there. I don't mind smaller towns, but I would like a nice gym, a facility with yoga and other fun workout classes, a few nice restaurants (small isn't a problem if they're good) and a nice apartment/condo/house to rent. I think Bolivar would be more practical for my situation (considering also that i may end up working in Bolivar too) I just don't know much about the town. I've been to and know Springfield fairly well, just never been to Bolivar. Where can i look for apartments/houses to rent in Bolivar? are there nice gyms/restaurants/parks there? Any suggestions or info is appreciated!

There is a Curves in Bolivar. The Phone Number is (417) 777-8226.There is one nice Park that I know of by the Hospital.Several good places to eat.

And if need be traveling 13 HWY can get you to Springfield pretty fast.Hope you like it better than Alexandria, although I know it has its good points.

Bolivar is nice, but only you will be able to tell if it's big enough to work for you. I think Bolivar is fine, but I would recommend visiting for a week and really checking it out, to see if it will really work for you or not.
