Hi, My husband, 2 small children, mother, and myself will be moving to MO in approximately a month. We would like to find a great rental home in the Ozarks, preferably with acerage and close to a river. I have only been able to find rental homes in suburbs, or if they do have acreage the houses are not in the Ozarks.

CityLife...the Ozarks is a big, big area...I'm not sure which part of the area you're looking at, but in the rural areas it's not easy to find rentals. There's no central database that computer-savvy folks can
go to ...
You might try putting a "wanted" ad in the local paper. While I realize that nationwide newspaper readership is in freefall, there are some papers that do get read. Down here in way SW MO, each county has it's own weekly, like the Taney County Times or the Stone County Gazette...that people actually read. Might be worth a try...
You might also put something on craigslist, or local websites (again, depending on where local is)...down here you might try:
