Default Yes another one moving to MO

Hello all,

My wife and I are making the move to Missouri from New Hampshire, she has a interview for a job there and even if she doesn't get it we are still moving, and are looking to move into the Branson area most likely Ozark. I have a million questions but only ask the most important one:

Where are some good 'ol kick butt BBQ places! LOL! I am actually a Florida boy my wife is the New Englander and I have to say no one up this way knows jack about BBQ OR iced tea!

Thanks!

Iced tea they generally have down pat.

as for BBQ, its a personal thing depending on style.

Buckinghams (closest to Ozark is Nixa) there are several around Springfield. little known to outsiders is crosstown on E. Division, and boxcar on N. Grant.

My favorite BBQ's in the area are Hawg Wild in Aurora...Danna's in Branson West, Branson & Kirbyville...or Two Fat Daddy's now in Branson West.

There are so many different kinds of BBQ it is hard to recommend one. But my personal favorite is Crosstown in Springfield. I like Buckinghams and Danna's too but in my opinion Danna's side dishes are too small and I feel like I don't get my money's worth.

For my money, it's Crosstown.

Hard to argue with that. For flavor, I give the nod to Crosstown but for absolute bang-for-the-buck, Buckinghams takes the crown (comparing Springfield restaurants). You get significantly more food at Buckinghams than Crosstown for the same price. Whether we actually need that extra food is a topic for another day.

Buckinghams gets my vote. But I also like Jills across the bridge in Kimberling City towards Lampe.
I also like Two Fat Daddy's, the one in West. Branson. Haven't tried the one in Forsyth.

Dave's Famous is very good for a chain. Consistent, flavorful, and a wide variety of choices.

Thanks everyone! It looks more and more that we maybe moving into the Branson area. My wife may have a position at Skaggs Regional Medical Center we will know more in a few days. Personally I am tired of freezing to death here in NH 8 years is enough LOL! It will also be nice to be closer to our friends in Arkansas. UP this way BBQ sauce ain't nothing more than catsup with a little flavoring hehehe.
