Question Pedro

Does anyone know where and what Pedro is? There is a Pedro St in Liberal, where did that name come from?
A friend's grandfather said he was from Pedro, Barton County Missouri. and he would like to know where exactly that is. BrainyGeography.com says it is a locale.

I can now answer my own question. In case anyone else is curious, Pedro used to be a small town across the railroad tracks from Liberal. All that is left is a street named Pedro.
