Default Good neighborhood to buy a lakehouse???

We are interested in purchasing a lakehouse on Table Rock Lake preferrably in the Shell Knob/Eagle Rock area. Since we won't be able to be at the home except for weekends it would be nice to find something in a nice subdivision where people get to know each other and have easy access to group maintenance, etc. Any suggestions?

Default Home at TableRock lake

I can reconmend that you drive around the different Lake Roads off of Hi-way 39. Go down to the end of the roads & you will find nice friendly areas of concerned residents who look out for each others homes. Go south on 39 past Pizza Hut and the shell knob bridge, on the right hand side are some nice housing areas to begin with. Good Luck

Jmm...there are quite a few very nice neighborhoods that fit that description. We could narrow it down if you have an idea of price range...have you shopped around much to get an idea of that?

Driving around is a great idea, I spent about 4 years doing that before I found my lake house. Hopefully you can figure it out quicker than I did!

Have you contacted a realtor servicing those areas? That is probably your best option because they can offer suggestions and help find exactly what you are looking for.
I suggest James River Realty. A few friends of mine have used this company and they adore the saleswoman. She goes to all lengths to help you find the perfect lakefront home!
