I would love to attend some but working 10 hour days really cuts into my "protesting" time.

I was at the one in Branson today. Thankfully my boss is for the tea parties as well. So we were paid to protest .

You are fortunate to have a boss with that attitude.

I have read some of the coverage about these tea parties around the nation and turnout did not appear to be huge. I really wanted to attend, but like most people that would support this type of protest, I am not an activist of any sort. Springfield is having their tea party this weekend and I will do my best to attend.

The attendance was quite large. I would guess roughly about 200-300 people down the strip in Branson. The mood was great. Alot of people were there voicing their displeasure with the administration, the congress, the bailouts, illegal immigration, etc... The theme was not anti-Obama. It was more Pro-American. Lots of Veterans there as well. Many well wishers were driving by and giving us the thumbs up, honks, waving of american flags. The person that set up the tea party said they had passed out 400+ flags to supporters/passers by.

We did get some people that were yelling obscenities from their cars as they passed. And a couple of young girls had stuff taped to their car windows saying that Obama was their president etc. I think they missed the point. We were not all against Obama, we are against the gross spending that dems/reps have been doing for the past 40+ years.

We were also called racists quite a few times. When asked why we were racist, we were told that we were against a black president. When we pointed out that we were against all gross spending in the past 40+ years, we got a huff and whatever.

All in all a great time, and a great rally.
