Default looking into relocating to Branson from Columbia MO.

Hello,
As the title says my family is debating on moving to Branson. I love Columbia but my husband is looking for something smaller with lots of fishing, camping, etc. We thought Branson would have something for both of us. We are also concerned about safety/school for our 5 year old. Do those of you living in Branson think it is a good area to raise a family? Do most high school graduates go to college? Is there any Teakwondo facilities? We saw an ATA in Springfield but that is pretty far to drive from Branson. Any thoughts will be appreciated. Also, does anyone know what the average salary for a nurse is in the area?

Hiya Corey. I live in the Branson area. Just west actually. Reeds Spring has all your looking for except the taekwondo. I think that you would love it down here. Especially your hubby. The fishing is absolutely wonderful .

I can't think of a better place for kids to grow up...with all the lakes & rivers & family oriented play places...I see the kids in my neighborhood having fun playing in the street or along the shore & am a bit jealous.

You might try calling the HR people at www.skaggs.net...I don't believe this is a high dollar wage area...

As far as relative safety, it depends on what you're used to. I moved here from Sacramento.
