Moving to area
Hi. I recently got a job in Bolivar, but am looking to relocate to Willard. I have a house for sale in Iowa and will need to rent until this house sells. I have a daughter that I want to start in the Willard school district in August. I have yet to recieve a reply from the chamber of commerce and am not having any luck with a realtor there. Any suggestions, help would be appreciated

Welcome to the area!
I'm not quite sure which suggestions you're looking for. Housing or enrolling your daughter in Willard's school district?
Are you under contract with a realtor here? If not, two of the biggest companies are Murney and Carol Jones. Call either, or both, and tell them what you're looking for. As slow as the real estate biz is right now, you should have people tripping over themselves to help you out.
I might also suggest posting an ad on Craigslist if you haven't already done so. I've never done that before, but I assume that you'd get some hits.
Best of luck.

Thanks. I have heard that Willard is a nice area, with good schools. I have'nt had much luck with the real estate agents in town though. I will try your suggestion about the other real estate agents.

Yes, Willard is a nice area. I think you will enjoy the area once you get settled in. You might message Lake Junkie here on the forum. She's a real estate agent down in the Branson area, but has contacts in Springfield that may be able to help you out.

I would have graduated from Willard High. But quit to go into the service soon as I turned 17.
Don't hold this against the school,it is a very good school.
My Mom owned a restaurant there. And we had a Farm there.

No calls - interesting!
With the housing economy the way it is right now....you would think that you would have had plenty of agents calling you back to sell you a home. Interesting!

Hmmm...yes, it's hard to find rentals these days. And most of the regular real estate companies don't do property management. That's a whole different deal.
Sorry...I have a great guy there if you're buying but I don't think he handles rentals, as I don't. Maybe he can point you in the right direction. I'll PM ya.

you may want to check into rental managers. Most real estate agents don't specialize in renting property. Good luck and welcome to the area.
