Horizons by Marriot is perfect for the family - they have huge rooms (with full kitchen), a GREAT pool, and lots of activities on the grounds (like campfires, wine tasting, ice cream socials, ect). We loved it there.

Silver Dollar City is O.K. for a day. The duck tours are popular and you will most likely gain 15 pounds eating at all of the buffets in town.

Cool Historic...

suns34...I'm so glad you're discovering our little spot!

I think people are recommending The Landing because you're asking about historic...but the whole area is historic so I think I'm going to suggest either Big Cedar Lodge...www.bigcedar.com...or the Chateau on the Lake...Branson Hotels | Branson, Missouri Resort & Spa | Chateau on the Lake in Branson, MO. Upscale, very nice.

They're both on Table Rock Lake, which has a very cool history all it's own.

Silver Dollar City: Go early, best on an early weekday or if the weather isn't absolutely perfect. Too many people can make it less fun. But definitely go. It's possibly not as great as it used to be, but it's still a wonderful theme park, like none other.

There's a catamaran cruise at State Park Marina that's worth the effort. Very fun. State Park Marina | Spirit of America

Have a great time and let us know what you think!
