Maybe the unfortunate thing is that other county sheriffs won't nut up and do what Arpaio does. There's a reason why Joe has been re-elected over and over, because we the people approve of his actions despite pressure from most of the mayors in Maricopa county and Federal agencies trying to stop him.

I don't have a lot of sympathy for illegal aliens. I understand it's tough in their homelands, but they need to enter legally, in my opinion. I don't think illegal Latin people should get a pass because their country is bad. If that's the case, what about the people in third world countries in Europe and Asia? Should they be allowed to stream across the border? Maybe some do, but it seems that if a Brit wants to move here, it's a long and difficult process. I'm all for making a better life for yourself, but do it legally!

"Slave labor conditions?" They are not slaves. Slaves were forced from Africa. Their descendants were born here. And they were forced to work. Illegals moved here and took whatever job they could get. They can leave if they want.

I understand America is the Land of the Free. That's great. But we need some kind of restrictions on our borders. It's just ridiculous. Why should Mexicans get to run across the border while people from Europe who want to move here have to fill out paperwork, get a VISA, and then apply for citizenship? It's simply not fair. So, you know what? No, I don't feel sorry for them. They took the easy way in, and now they're working minimum wage. What a horror. It seems to be so easy for them to get into the U.S. If they don't like it, they can go home.

There is several Poultry processing Plants in Missouri. There was one here they started cracking down on Illegals so the Company moved to Arkansas.

Yup, whenever there is a dIscussion about ILLEGALS, someone tries to play the " phobia card"

There is a difference between--legal--and ILLEGAL.

Marmac, I hoped the smiley would show you that I was being sarcastic about the xenophobe thing.

I got called a xenophobe online by a guy from San Francisco once. It was somewhat humorous.

Sorry,
I see we agree ( and I should have caught your previous post which would show ,also, you are not one who labels people opposed to ILLEGALS as "phobics" )
