Default Medical Issues and Adult Son with Cognitive Challenges

Our family would love to move to the Branson area. We are currently in a large, fast-paced metropolis. We have good services for both medical and state/county assistance for our son. However, we want to move to a more open, slower paced environment. We've been to the Branson area many times and love it.

I have severe, ongoing (degenertive osteoarthritis of the spine) back problems that require constant, specialized medical care. Our son needs special needs adults services and has state / federal assistance. Can we expect to find services for these needs in the Branson area? I have had some difficulty trying to find out via the net.

Thanks for your help!

I'm not sure what services Branson has that involve your current conditions...but Springfield is only 30 miles and has great medical resources.

I have been doing workshops with the Director of the Arthritis Foundation. I work for a non-profit agency and have done training with Margaret Lindsey (Director), so I can certainly give you her contact information and she can lead you in the right direction for services.
She is based out of St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
