Considering this is a Springfield Police Dept case, I am not sure why former Greene County Sheriff John T Pierpont would be 'shamed into moving' anywhere.

And the Cox garage theory? The Crime Scene: Nineteen Years Later.....Sherrill, Suzie and Stacy Are Still Missing:

Pierpont and Terry Knowles worked together to fumble, stumble and bumble the case into oblivion. The county prosecutor almost took over the investigation, but by then it was an embarrassing mess.

Maybe we should ask Robert Cox to tell the truth.

This case is rapidly approaching the 25th anniversary. Although I no longer live in Springfield I remain very interested. Any news that I would be interested in knowing about?

During the same time period, there were three other women who just vanished in Missouri, including Cheryl Anne Kenney in Nevada, Mo. Some theories tie them all together since no trace was found of any of them. I know Cheryl's children and have been over the evidence with them. The police just plain botched the investigation of her disappearance.
