Default Best Family Lodging in Branson?

Okay, we thought we had our trip to Branson in May all set. But I am now changing my plans because my cousin and her two girls want to come along. I have checked into a bunch of different hotels and resorts trying to find a good price, but I feel like I can do better if I only knew where to search. Of course everyone wants something for themself. I would like a cabin so that we can sit outside in the evenings. My cousin would like a jacuzzi bathtub in the room. The kids of course would like a pool, but I definitely want there to be an indoor pool, since we are going on May 22nd. And hubby wants a kitchen/kitchenette so that we can cook while we are there (it saves so much money!).

We looked at Branson Woods Resort, as well as Grand Country Inn. Anyone have any suggestions? I also got a quote from a tourism specialist for a room, tickets to several shows, tickets to a couple of museums, Ride the Ducks and SDC. But I thought it was maybe a little high? Anyone have any suggestions? Input definitely appreciated! Thanks!

Bec

Well its out of my League but did you check Big Cedar Lodge.

The Branson Belle Cruse and Dinner Show is nice.Dixieland Stampede Dinner Show is nice.Ofcourse Silver Dollar City.Seems like all the Shows with Dinners ran about $50 a person.

Being cheap this time we are thinking of Tent Camping at Table Rock State Park and riding the Branson Train, plus doing some fishing in Taneycomo.

Hey Hillman...there's a lot of great tent camping on Table Rock Lake! The State Park is good, but pretty busy. I also love Old 86 Campground (site #20 is the best), Mill Creek Campground, and Cape Fair Campground. The fishing is supposed to be wonderful around Cape Fair. You can find all of the Corp of Engineers Campgrounds on www.reserveusa.com.

Have fun in my neck 'o the woods......
