rv parks in St. George, Beaver
Hi there. I am very excited to have found this site. We are semi-retired and living in a motor home in Wyoming. My husband's doctors are in Salt Lake City. With medicare and workman comp.'s approval he is hoping to have 2 surgeries this fall. During that time he is not going to be able to do any heavy lifting, etc., for a couple of months, at least. We are looking for a affortable rv park or trailer park somewhere south of Salt Lake City. In a warm enough climate so we do not have to worry about "skirting in the house" during cold weather. But close enought to Salt Lake so driving back and forth to doctors will not be too hard on him. Right now it takes us about 5 to 6 hours to drive to doctors appointments, depending on weather and how my husband feels. So we want to stay south this winter.
By the way, we have found some of the best doctors and the nicest people in Utah. Thanks, Linda

Saint George is about 4 hours from Salt Lake. Winter highs are usually in the mid-50s with lows around or just below freezing. It's an easy drive straight up the interstate.
Anywhere from Cedar City northward, including Beaver, is fairly cold in the winter with highs in the 30s or 40s and lows from 0-20 above.

Thanks for your help. It looks like the St. George area or Cedar City for us this winter.

Definitely go down to the Saint George area. It is only 50 miles south of Cedar City, but you decend 4000 feet in elevation, which makes a huge difference in climate. I've driven through Cedar City in the snow and seen people golfing on green grass by the time I got to St. George 45 minutes later.
Also Mesquite NV is about 30 miles from St. George and probably even a tad warmer. You do have to drive through a narrow winding gorge to go back and forth. It's not too bad, but maybe harder in an RV.
Las Vegas is also about 90 minutes south of St. George.
