I made a short two day trip to Mesquite, NV and visited St. George twice during my trip. I drove around the city and did a little shopping. The city is very clean, tidy and pleasing. I enjoyed very much the views out from the city and the rock landscaping used by many businesses and homes. Many of the neighborhoods I drove by were really, really nice. Every type of business you'd ever want/need in a city is there. I also visited the wildlife museum on the way back and picked up some Zion guides at the information booth. The museum was interesting and you got to learn about all of the animals and where they are found in the world. I liked the radio system they give you that explains the exhibits.

BTW, I ate at the Cafe Rio on E. St. George for a late lunch on Wednesday and thought the food was mediocre. I had the chicken burrito. The flavor just did not appeal to me. I guess I'm used to our Cal-Mex food. The place is decorated nice and was pretty busy for that time of day. Next time I return I'll check out Durangos.

Anyways, I enjoyed my visit to St. George and next time I will visit Zion.

-Cheers.

I know I suggested Durangos in one of your other posts, and we've since eaten at Pancho & Lefty's-- it was pretty good.

by that logic, so is Tampa Bay.......................... and probably a lot of other places where we screw everything up by "living" there............

I'm in the "old" neighborhood in Ivins (near Snow Canyon where wind carried nuclear fallout fifty years ago)........most of my neighbors were born here, a lot of them are sixty plus years old, look healthy, and are as active as I am. I'll have to make a note if I notice any of them glowing. Personally, I'm not too worried, but that's a personal opinion.

Default oh, and to get back to the original topic.

I couldn't agree more. The desert isn't for everyone, and coming from the Sierras in CA, it's quite the change. So far, the best change of my life.
