SeanB2007 is on a distinguished road
I'm a transplant from Las Vegas, which is a real desert. Since moving to the Salt Lake City area, I tell people, it's the wettest, coldest, desert I've lived in, in my entire life. But it's absolutely beautiful, I'd never want to move back to Las Vegas and I love the abundance of Green this desert has to offer, the mountains are beautiful and there are free flowing rivers and creeks all over the Salt Lake Valley, mostly they are wasted when they dump into the Great Salt Lake, however it makes this area naturally beautiful. Humidity in this area during the winter months is high, I watch the weather reports daily and despite the fact that the state of Utah is considered dry, this area up north is not as dry as others would like you to believe for example today we have 35% in Sandy, not too dry I suppose compared to Vegas. St George is also beautiful and Hurrican is incredibly beautiful. Taxes are high in this state with State Income Taxes, and taxes on everything including food tax. The price of apartments in Southern Utah are very low as is housing compared to the Salt Lake City area where the average home is $265,000 still not bad but you don't get much for that kind of money according to a recent article in the Salt Lake Trib. If you want to know more about Utah in general, read some of the papers.. Salt Lake Tribune Home Page - Salt Lake Tribune is a good one to read about what's happening. Best of luck to you in your new quest.
