Default Old turkey farms in St. George?

So my astronomy teacher and some students are going to the "old turkey farms" to look at the stars. Does anybody know where this could be? He said the main road leading to it is closed...the only info he gave me was that they'll be at the old turkey farms. Anybody know where this is?

It's just north and east of St. George in the Red Cliffs state park. If you pull up a map of St. George on yahoo, you can enlarge and see where it is. It might also have secondary roads that go to it listed. It is still a working turkey farm. There use to be up until the 70's a tukey farm on the hwy going up onto the mesa (hwy 9) towards Virgin. It was across the street from the rock shop. It's now a subdivision so it is most likely not the spot. those are the only two turkey farms in the area that I know of.

Yeah it's down industrial road; you keep going down there on the dirt road right? A friend told me to go that way and I checked it out but it was blocked off by a gate....I'll talk to my teacher and see if he knows any other way.

Does anyone know if you can still get turkey manure from the turkey farm? Anyone know the phone number to the place?
