We have a flight in Sept out of Vegas airport. Being new to the area, our real estate agent has given us lots of info about the area. He mentioned that there will be road work on this route during Sept. Delays could be expected according to him.

So, first, how long is the drive (time)? We have to drop our dogs off at 7:30 that morning and our flight is 11:30. Our agent said if delayed on the road, we may not have enough time. Second, is there a website we could check for work being done during that time and delay times? Third, is it better to drive your own car and park at the airport or take the shuttle from St George?
Any other thoughts/opinions are very much appreciated.

Thanks

Most people plan for 1.5-2 hours to Vegas, depending on what part you are going to. Just remember that the time zones change, and Nevada is on Pacific time, so you make up an hour while driving. So you could leave stg at 6:30 am and arrive in Vegas at 7:30 AM (or earlier) Vegas time.

To the airport...we always plan fir at least an hour and a half from Mesquite. ALWAYS have several alternate routes in mind as we have sat still in traffic for more than 3 hours due to an I15 accident. If our flight is before noon, we always spend the night in Vegas.
