Hard to answer this I know, but what is a good liveable income for the area. Would $48000 be good.

All depends on your own opinion of what makes a *livable income*.

Is your list of *wants*, bigger than your list of *needs* ?
Do credit cards play a big role in your life ?
If so, no, 48000 is never enough ...

Yes, I think $48K/yr would be fine for a livable income here. You have enough to adjust your major expenses such as rent and a car according to your needs. Others may disagree, but I find food, utilities, and property taxes here to be very reasonably priced. If credit debt is also a major expense, you have enough income to make other lifestyle changes until you get it paid off.

You need at least $2mil. a year to continue eating 3 meals a day in St. George. Anything less than that is pushing it.

I hope you like cabbages!

I am also curious about this because I would have a similar salary. My only concern is that eventually I would want to get a house and a lot of cool houses seem to be like 300,000+. I want to live by snow canyon!
