Well, as an LDS parent, originally from Southern Utah, and having raised my children in the very non-LDS, liberal, Portland, Oregon area, I'll just say that nice "christian" people here have treated my LDS children in very much the same way that some folks on this thread are saying that their children have been treated in the St. George area.

Look, people will be people anywhere you go! If you want to live in the St. George area, do it! We wanted to live near Portland and here we still are after 36 years. Don't let a little thing like religious differences stop you. Any adversity that you might experience in St. George will only make you and your kids stronger.

We are all God's children. The mormons have no monopoly on that and neither do the non-mormons.

I'm sure glad I didn't have a mom like yours!

I love it....... CITY LIFE!

I grew up in an extremely small town, but have lived in a suburb of Chicago for the past thirty years. I am extremely excited to be relocating to St. George. It has a much "smaller town" feel to me.

We could have gone smaller, but the wife needs her shopping, Starbucks, etc.

I guess everything is relative.

I must add, I don't think I have met friendlier folks anywhere!
