They don't even have a plan to fund it, so it seems unlikely. The repayment plan outline submitted to the state failed to take into account interest on the billions in loans. That's why Iron County dropped out in part... our annual portion of the interest on the loans supposedly would have exceeded the county's entire budget. If they can hook all the taxpayers in the state or the taxpayers of other states via the feds to pay for it, they'll have a better chance of greenlighting it. Otherwise, they're seriously making the claim that the 160,000 residents of Washington County can repay several billion dollars plus interest via taxes and water bills should the needed growth to pay for it in the "growth will pay for it all" plan fail to materialize on their schedule. The appeals to the spirit of "pioneer sacrifice" will probably do little to soften the sting of those bills.

You actually don't see, but sure like to put a lot of words in people's mouth, don't you?
“Diluting all the narrow minded religious people” were not MY words. It’s clear that you don’t value these people and you don’t agree with them, therefore you don’t like those diverse people that don’t agree with you who happen to be religious. It’s clearly “some animals are more equal than others”. (From Animal Farm btw)

Nice of you to show up 4 months later after these were posted.

I didn't say anything about diversity only including those that I like. You put those words out there. Yeesh.

I value diversity very much, and live in one of the most diverse cities in the world, fortunately. St. George is in great need of added diversity and acceptance. I am highly in favor of all the new people moving into Southern Utah from wide-spread areas. They carry new ideas with them that will help the community.

Kayekaye, people can be as religious as they please and that's great. I just don't agree with certain ideas and mindsets they have. Just like any regular person.

How does "new ideas" From a more diverse crowd help the community.

All the "diverse" and "multi cultural" cities I see are mostly dirty, have skyrocketing crime, and have massive amounts of debt and corruption.

Where do you live?
