Perhaps the St. George locals can help me out on this one~~~~
My family and I are wanting to make a move to ST. George and was wondering if it is a big baseball sports town? Baseball is my boys life for now and was hoping there is LOTS of baseball there. Looking at their new fields it seems as though!!???
Thanks for any info!

I don't have kids in school, but it seems to be a big sports town, period. I do know that there are a LOT of tournaments here year round....you might check out the high school websites...the schools are:

Pineview HS
Dixie HS
Snow Canyon HS
Hurricane HS

forgive me if I forgot one...

A friend of mine's son played baseball on a boys league a few years ago. I'm not at all familiar with the program, but I think it was regular Little League in Washington. He also played on a 'travelling team' made up of kids from St. George that played against teams from the Salt Lake/Provo/Ogden area as well as southern Nevada and southern California. St George had a different league so baseball is big enough for several Little League programs. St. George City has the softball complex (4 diamonds) on Snow Canyon Parkway and I heard a rumor that more are to be built in the Little Valley area. Those are mostly for adult city league players though. Mesquite also has a large softball complex right off I-15 at the north end of town. Mesquite hosts a 24 hour tournament every summer called the 'Heat Stroker' or something like that. Middle schools and high schools also have baseball programs. I don't think your son will lack for baseball or any other sport, except for ice hockey.

St. George has it's own independent baseball team, the St. George Roadrunners. They play in the Golden Baseball League.
And I swear you can't go more than 5 blocks in some parts of town without seeing a ball field. The diamonds at the Snow Canyon complex are the best in town.
