I read kcoliver's post. They don't say anything about driving to LV 5x/week. You are the only one that stated that.

To clarify....the people I know don't drive to LV 5 times a week. They have jobs that allow them to work 3 days a week. (ie nurse). Also other people can work from home 3 days a week, and go into LV for meetings 2 times a week. A few firemen we know also commute but their schedule is about 10 - 12 days a month, and they sleep at Firehouse when they are in Vegas.

Why? because pay is so much higher...Nurses can make around 40+ per hour in LV, but in the 20's here. Also, firemen, they only get $25,000 - $35,000 yearly here, yet over $100,000 in Vegas.

Yep you are spot on. I am a registered nurse, I make over $60/hr in Las Vegas. When I worked as a nurse in St. George I was making $23/hr.

Hmm... tripled my wage. Now it's understandable why so many people commute because the pay in Utah is so terrible.

Went to check out St. George last October 2017. I'm semi-retired so how is the medical insurance since I will have to pay out of pocket there. (Expensive????) Also I noticed the lack of resturants... Don't care for fast-food, would like to keep that in Calif.

If you happen to drop into a restaurant because its menu looks interesting, imagine your surprise when you notice you won't be able to get an adult beverage with that.
