My wife and I currently live in Eagle Mountain, UT. We are big gardeners, so the shortened growing season in northern Utah is a bit of a drag. I am very curious about the climate in New Harmony/Kanarraville Utah. What is the growing season like (first/last frost dates)? What is the average high for the area? I don't want to move down to St. George because it is too hot in the summer, though beautiful the rest of the year. Just looking for some insight. Thank you!

New harmony is a bit warmer than Cedar City is. They are near the black ridge so they can get some wind in all seasons. I'm not sure of the exact frost dates, but I'd imagine April and September. They get some monsoon precipitation there in the late summer.

In the summer typical in the 80's with some 90's mixed in. They are at 5,000 feet. There are a LOT of deer in the area, FYI. The best part about new harmony in my opinion are the views. Kolob Canyon, while unable to be seen from I-15, stands out in full glory from anywhere in in the town. It is absolutely stunning in snow, or any season. The only places that new harmony has, that I've seen, is a library, a gas station, and a church. It's about halfway between Cedar and St. G.
