Yeah, it is called Hurrikun. Weirdest thing when I moved here, trying to understand how some of these towns are pronounced. People thought *I* talked funny from Jersey. Oy...
Like the town up north called Hooper. You would THINK it is Hoop-er, like in loop. Not so much. The oo is like in hook.

Glad you liked your trip. I can't wait to go. I have been through there several times but never really stopped...just went to straight to Vegas. This time I am going to take some time and look around (yep Hurrikun )

I always pronounced Toolee wrong. It's (to will ee) and I was corrected many times. Yes I always said hooper wrong to. And there is Layton where I lived but everyone pronounced it Layon and the T was silent, unless you are from out of town and then you would hear the T, that's how you knew there weren't local. I guess every state has the same thing. Here in Oklahoma the city of Miami is pronounced Miama

I live in Tooele county, so I have learned how to pronounce that, but before we moved here we thought it was called Tool ee. Now we know it is Too Wil A.

Oh you are right...it does have the sound of an A on the end. I still can't get that right.
