My family and I are moving to St. George really soon. We love the area of Ivins ALOT but are coming to find out the job availability is very limiited. We currently live in California and my husband is in produce sales and I am relocating my business to St. George. Besides the 'career builder" & "monster"
job searches for the area does anyone else have suggestions where to inquire? We realize that wages are way less than what we are use to but that is a sacrafice we are willing to have to live in a nice, pretty, safe city. There is nothing posted on these web sites for professional folks that have extensive sales experience. Please let me know whether or not we are asking for the impossible of a decent job in St. George!!!
Thank you for any suggestions~~~

Hi there!

Have you searched job availability in Las Vegas? If you are in sales and open to conducting business out of your car (like a pharmaceutical sales rep), there might be some Las Vegas-based companies or firms that are looking for sales people to handle that general vicinity-- which might include St. George! And you could probably even work from home. Office supplies distributors, medical supplies distributors, pharmaceutical companies and independent investment companies are all industries that use sales people. And most of them are willing to train you on their trade, as long as you have a positive attitude and strong sales aptitude.

Do you know anyone in St. George who has a trustworthy realtor, banker or insurance agent? Those are businesses that always need good sales folks. They could give you a referral!

Good luck with the move and job search.

Ivins is so PRETTY! I don't know anything about the job market, but I love that area.

Well, there were plenty of big, beautiful homes up on the bluffs when we were there this summer so someone must be doing something right.

Wholesale food industry I imagine is pretty good down in Vegas. Consiter splitting the difference? Mesquite, NV is ~35 to St. George and ~90 to Vegas, or go even further down, like Logandale, Overton, or Glendale.
