Hi, I am just curious about St. George. MIL is moving there, and hubby and I could end up there sometime in the future. It is beautiful, but is it more of a retirement town? Are there many kids and young people there? How is the bored factor, once you have lived there a while? Thanks!

It depends on what you like to do. If you like fine dining, shopping, nightclubs and social event/party life, St.George may not be for you. If you like hiking, biking, outdoors stuff, family time, sports then ok! It is a college town too!

Well, Las Vegas is only an hour or two away from ol' St George, keep that in mind

Like everyone said, it depends on what you like to do. The state is beautiful, scenery in the St George area is gorgeous. It's not a big city with a huge downtown, so if you are used to the busy city life, you may not like it. I don't think you would be bored however, and as mentioned Vegas is close and then not to far from CA. You need to vist there and get a feel for the area.
