Default Hunting in Ivins,UT

We are planning to move to Ivins,UT this summer from WIsconsin. My husband is wondering about the hunting in that area. If anyone has any information it would be greatly appreciated. He really loves coyote hunting. So if your husband is into that please send me a message and let me know so I can let him know.

Thanks, Debbie -Wife looking for Husband Hunting Concerns

Default Hunting

Southern Utah has some great hunting areas. As far as I know, coyotes are shot as nuisance animals, there are a lot of sheep raised here. We hunt for deer and elk. You have to draw out.

Thanks for your reply. He is wanting is there alot public land to hunt on? Is it easy to find land to hunt on. He loves the coyote hunting. We live here in Wisconsin and hunt deer, coyotes, bear, turkeys. He is into gun shoots. Is that popular in that area. We have two daughters that got 22 rifles for christmas and he was wondering do they have youth shoots. If you know anything about this or if you know someone that has any info it would be great to know.

Thanks, Deb

There are plenty of places to hunt on public land. I do not know how easy it is to get a permit where you are, here it can difficult. Many hunts you have draw out of, like a lottery. I live in one of the prime hunting areas, near Enterprise, 45 miles west of St. George. DH and I both failed to draw last year . Hunting is a huge family affair here. There are shooting clubs, I'll have to ask a gal at work, her husband and son dress up and participate in shoots in Cedar City. I do not know what St. George has. I know in Mesquite there is Mesquite, Nevada Golf Resort | Virgin River & Casino.
There is a family out here that hunts lions, I see turkeys, antelope and deer all the time in my "nieghborhood".
