Back to topic....for the OP, you will be fine in St. George. It's a great place for christians, non-christians, non-lds, lds, jewish, baptists, protestant.....and newly married too! It's very diverse. And if the people don't seem to be as friendly as you would like, take the first step and be friendly to them. When we bought our home in St. George a couple months ago, we were there cleaning it and getting it ready for renters and many neighbors came by and welcomed us. Did they ask if we were mormon......No they didn't. Did we ask if they were....nope don't care. They were just happy to have new neighbors. Even though we aren't moving there till next year, I am sure the people that rented our home will be welcomed. Last I heard they were very happy there and they moved from another state also.

This thread has been a very interesting read. I am looking to get out of Cali and have been reading up on other states. I think I'd like St George as I am a loner by nature and not into the night life entertainment. That would be watching the stars with a telescope for me.
