Default Car inspection questions.

I've got a couple of old jeeps that I'm a little worried about when it comes to getting them inspected in Utah.

I know there isn't a smog check in St. George, but do they check to see if the smog equipment is all there when the inspection is done?

One of the jeeps has tires that stick out way beyond the body. Will it pass as long as I get some big mud flaps to cover up the tires?

Thanks.

Default Inspections

The inspections are to see if all things are working on your vehicle. They check lights, turn signals, back up lights, brakes front & rear. They do not care if you have smog equipment. Drivers side & passenger windows can not have a deep tint. As far as I know on your tires, they are interested on how much tread is on them and on a jeep or truck with wide tires, you will need flaps.

Default Thanks.

That's exactly what I wanted to know, and wanted to hear.

Thanks again.

Josh.

It is the opposite here in the Phx area-----------the state does not give a hoot about safety inspections but emissions are a big deal here on at least 1967+ cars/trucks/motorcycles.
