Default Natural Grocery

What types of natural food stores are available in Saint George? I am a vegetarian who will be moving to the area soon. I have done several searches and have come up empty handed...dang it!! I was hoping for a Sprouts, Trader Joes, Wegmans, Whole Foods, AJ's... Also are there any CSA's nearby?

Just eat beef. Cows eat plants. If people eat cows, then they are really eating the plants that the cows ate. Cows are plant eaters too so I don't really see what the problem would be.

Hi, We found a few health stores here in Washington a few miles from Saint George theres one called the Dixie Nutrition near Costco. We don't have a Trader Joes or a whole foods out here yet, hopefully some day. Not sure if they carry sprouts. Some markets sell sprouts or grow your own it's fun and easy. The health stores do have vitamins and herbs, tofu, and some other healthy foods but not in large quantity or selection. We are new here too and tring to find places to purchase food.

Stocked up on all kinds of foods not available here (suburb of SLC),
also went to In and Out every day !!!

I think the most likely chance of getting a Whole Foods/Wild Oats kind of store in St. George would be Sunflower Market. They have a couple of locations in Vegas and locations in Murray and Orem, so they are driving thru town on the 15 for deliveries. Maybe contact them and express intrest in them comming to St. George.

Yes, there is a new one, that is very nice. Natural Grocers, I think it may also go by the name Vitamin Cottage. They have a good size refrigerated section too and tons of supplements. It's over by the Kohl's store shopping area. There is also a weekly Farmer's Market DT at Ancestor's Square and an outdoor stand in Santa Clara. Plenty of Mexican markets in the area for cooking supplies too. I think there is a Veg restaurant in Cedar City, not quite an hour away.

There is also a natural vitamin store (cannot recall the name) across of Troys BBQ (near Bluff, off 700) that has fresh produce.

Default Dixie Nutrition

We had good luck with foods/organic produce at Dixie Nutrition. The big, new location near Costco has a lot. It is the closest thing to a whole foods we found, but we only lived in SG 6 months. Harmons has some good organic stuff, too. Las Vegas has everything, but not a drive we wanted to make more than every couple weeks. With St. George growing so fast, natural food stores like WF or TJ's are bound to open.
