My husband and I may be moving to St. George this year. We would like to know roughly how much we would pay per month or however often you pay for your water. Roughly a 1500 square foot home, 2 adults, no children, average use.

Thanks.

If you buy in a PUD the association fees usually cover your water no matter how much use. Alot of homes are in these associations. I do nto live in a PUD have a 1/3 acre lot and over 3000 sq ft house and my water runs 30-40 a month.

The big different in utlities is electricity by city. I lived in st george and my average on a 1700 sq ft house was $140 a month, moved to bloomington area (a suburb of st george) and we have dixie power(it is a co-op for several suburbs) and my 3000 + sq ft all electric home is $80 a month. Some areas like santa clara bills are 3-4 times dixie power. So the big cost difference is electricty not water.

I live in Ivins and my water bill is around $95-$120 a month in the summer. 1700 sq ft home, no pool, 1/3/ acre, about half of that grass and mature landscaping. That includes sewer, garbage and storm drain, whatever that means. The rest of the year it is around $76 for all of that. The water isn't so bad but the rest breaks down as follows: Sewer is $29, garbage $12, and drain $10. I think it is higher than other parts of town. My electric bill this month is $56, last month was $28. ALmost double now that we are in the 105 plus range. But much cheaper than Vegas was!
