Default St. George-----washington Utah

This maybe a dumb question but here goes...While looking at homes forsale I noticed that St.George seems to be about 10% more expensive then Washington..Why?

They seem to be almost on top of each other and there seems to be no difference in crime or anything else I can see..so why the difference?

Thanks for info.

I can only give you my opinion when we were looking. The further we got away from St. George city limits the less expensive the homes were. Probably because Washington isn't as close to shopping as being right in St. George.

I think it is that simple! Think of it as the suburbs!

Honestly any state where you live"downtown" is going to be more expensive. I consider all of Washington, Bloomington, Santa Clara to be a part of St. George just because they are all so close together. I came from Boston so it all seems like one town to me, but many people here think that driving 5 min to get into Washington is a "commute" I would pick Washington over St. George for sure.
