Hi everyone!

Two of my good friends (a married couple) are planning to move to the St. George area (hopefully around the end of the year), and I am considering moving with them. We are all in our 30s, and would love to know what people around our age (as well as anyone else) think of the area. The weather, scenery, and outdoor activities sound absolutely wonderful!

My biggest concern is finding a job. I have office/admin. and extensive customer service/restaurant experience, along with some experience in the medical field. I would like to have a job lined up before moving, but I'm unsure how to go about it considering I live in another state. It seems like it is difficult to find a decent paying job in St. George. Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you!

I do not live in St. George but visit frequently and have relatives who live there. I would secure a job before moving. I've heard people say it's a really tough job market.

There is no real infrastructure to support anything but run of the mill average paying service type jobs. The money has come in from the outside from people retiring. This also had the effect of driving up property costs for locals who grew up there. You don't move to St. George to get rich that's for sure.
