I live in Northern Vermont. It is an absolutely beautiful state but the weather sucks most of the time. I'm a biker need to get away from the cloudy, rainy weather so I can do more riding in my retirement. Can someone explain what the climate is like around St.G. From what I've read the summers are wicked hot, I know it's a "dry heat", but when it's 110 does that really matter? How long does it take to adapt to that kind of heat, if at all? Or may be I should get out of "Dodge" for the summer and get a camp in the Cedar area. Thanks

It takes couple of years to fully acclimate. You will have fun riding your motorcycle especially in the open areas. Avoid Vegas at all costs for that. The people just drive crazy here.
Anyway, the "its a dry heat" is a joke out here. You do feel it especially since when you sweat it almost immediately evaporates so you body can't cool off as well. And it lasts nonstop for almost three months so by the time September rolls around you're exhausted. I love the climate and sunny skies here and I think it will be a good change for someone coming from the NE.
