Specifically in St. Louis County (or city if there are any places). Are there any scenic drives out in the county?

Inside of the county they can be somewhat scarce, and very short lived. Typically for scenic i love taking 367 up to Alton, then taking the river road north to Pier Marquette State Park, very gorgeous, and during the fall it's amazing. As an avid motorcyclist, I tend to believe that some of the best roads in the area are out in wildwood, MO. Twisty, Hilly, Gorgeous scenery. Hwy 100 west towards Washington, MO is pretty, along with St.Alban's Rd going in the same direction (then taking Old 100 towards town) after reaching there, taking Hwy 54 (i think) out of town is nice, and it runs into Hwy 94 and you can come back through St. Charles, passing several missouri wineries on the way, along with some more gorgeous countryside.

In the fall, the drive out I-44 past Fenton is beautiful, with rolling hills of blazing colors. Lots of roads in Eureka and Wildwood are rather scenic-- definately check out the Rockwoods Reservation area.

As far as the city, I guess there are a few drives that could be considered "scenic", depending on your point of view. There's Riverview Drive near the Chain of Rocks Bridge, with the Mississippi on one side of the road and the river bluffs on the other. And I guess a drive through a few of the larger city parks could be scenic (my favorite being Tower Grove.)

Woods avenue in wildwood is 3-4 miles long and will blow you away. You find it off 109 and runs thru to manchester road. It is short but spectacular. Also in the same area for longer drive take 109 to state road to ridge road to st paul road to big bend. Saint Albans country club is also a nice trip.

Not exactly scenic drives necessarily, but I would focus on some of the parks we have. Obviously Forest Park and Tower Grove in the City, and I would count the neighboring areas as scenic.

In the county, Castlewood, Babler and Rockwoods Reservation are all lovely and, I think, the drive to them could be considered scenic, at least Babler and Rockwoods.

If you like seeing buffalo and full grown Elk withing nearly and arms reach, check out Lone Elk Park at 141/44. It's like a modern day Jurassic Park!

In addition to the great suggestions above... I would also throw in the drive to Clarksville, Hannibal, or St. Gen. All perfect day trips from St. Lou and a lot to see and do along the way.

The drive from the Hwy 32 exit out to the wineries is absolutely gorgeous!
Route du Vin | Ste. Genevieve Missouri's Wine Trail
And its only 45 minutes away from STL!
