Question: 8th graders around town will soon be receiving news regarding acceptance into the high school of their choice. One thing I am not clear on: If the applicant is not accepted to their first choice school, will they receive a letter both from the non-accepting school and the second choice school on the same day that all letters are mailed out?

I thought acceptances were already out? Our church bulletin had a blurb about how 99% of 8th graders were acccepted to their 1st choice high school. Maybe the grade schools find out ahead of the students...

I really wish i could remember how that worked. I do know that i got an acceptance letter (but only applied to one catholic HS) and all my classmates who graduated with me also got their letter on the same day/weekend, etc....while the one classmate who didn't get accepted, recieved his denial letter at the same time.

I was accepted into my 1st choice, which was St. Mary's. It was very tough to get into.
