Default Newer home communities

Hi,
I've posted before that my husband is taking a job in St Charles and got some advice on good school districts. Where is a good area to live that has newer homes ( 10 years or less), good schools and wouldn't be too far of a commute to St Charles ( casino/hotel)?
Also, are there any good country clubs that are family friendly with ammenities like pools and activities?
Thanks!

Sounds like you would like St. Charles county or Chesterfield in west St. Louis county. Plenty of new construction there, very family friendly, and you won't have much of a commute if your husband is working in St. Charles.

Also check out O'Fallon or Wentzville, Both are chock full of new construction. Wentzville even more so than O'Fallon.

while chesterfield would fit your family friendly atmosphere, depending on where your husband would be working in St. Chuck, he might have a more lengthy commute. Most of St. Charles' boom happened about 20 years ago, but i'm sure there are still pockets of new homes left over in the area, not to mention locations further West (St. Peters, O'Fallon, Wentzville). There will be traffic going Eastbound on Hwy 70 in the morning, but if you're only going a few miles, it'll be negligible. If you were in Chesterfield, and wanted to get to St. Charles, you'd be looking at either "back tracking" 64 East, 270 North, 364 or 70 West. Or taking 64 West into St. Charles County, and having a lovely drive up stop-light laden Hwy 94.

Thanks for the feedback. As I was looking at the school scores and ratings in the Wentzville area, I noticed that they didn't rate very high. Does anyone know any information on that?
