I am in the process of relocating to St. Louis, and am getting ready to get a new cell phone number. Should I be getting a 314 or 636 cell phone number?

Most likely we will be living west of 270, and my office is currently in Fenton (which has a 636 number). So chances are both of those numbers are 636. Clients and other business numbers are likely spread between 314, 636 and 618. So is there any benefit to having a 314 or 636 cell number?

Thanks.

All the cool kids represent the three one four. It's the first three digits of Pi, you know.

Actually yes stlcitygirl is right and typically 636 numbers are assigned west of 270. Most people are used to dialing both and there are a lot of 618 (Illinois) too, so it's really not a big deal.

Thanks. I was thinking 314 simply because that's what I have always associated with St. Louis. These days with everyone having phones with the numbers saved in them, dialing three more digits isn't a huge deal.

And it is the first three digits of Pi. That doesn't hurt
