Perhaps along Lindell near SLU
Hampton at Chippewa area, not so much foot traffic but busy, safe area

that didn't work out too well for my old man. The Grind his coffeehouse was very popular when it was in the Maryland Plaza location...lots of foot traffic. Once he moved to Lindell @ Lindell & Boyle the coffeehouse didnt get nearly as busy as the old location...the lounge however Sol Lounge in the back took off. The old Grind used to be over capacity every weekend the patio would be filled there would be a line out the door and of course our favorite the after 1:30 am crowd aka bosnian invasion would come in and order 15 cappuccinos at a time.

That never took off at Lindell despite the name, its following etc...

I think HUGO would agree that the Lindell location was NOT a good one for a coffee shop. That stretch of Lindell is not pedestrian friendly.

There's a newer coffee house on Southwest near McCausland. I pass by there often and try to look inside and have yet to see anyone. I figured with that neighborhood perhaps a bar would be successful, there's not exactly a lot of yuppies in those shotgun houses.
